Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information the EduStars website and the EduStars app (together, “EduStars”) collect, why, and how it is protected. EduStars is the online learning platform of EduStars Academy, which runs SAT, IELTS and English courses taught by Mostafa Atalla.

Information we collect

• Account details: the student’s name, username and password (the password is stored only as a salted PBKDF2 hash, never in readable form). Accounts are created by the academy team when a student joins a course.
• Parent contact: a parent’s WhatsApp number, if the student or the team adds it, so the parent can receive progress updates.
• Learning activity: homework answers and scores, exam and quiz results, vocabulary lists ticked as studied, class attendance and the points and rankings worked out from them.
• Class attendance from Zoom: the name shown when joining a class and the time spent in it, used to record attendance.
• Course and payment records: the course, sessions taken and subscription payments, recorded by the academy team.
• Device settings: the chosen language and, if you allow notifications, a notification token so we can remind you about homework and classes.

How we use it

• To run the courses: homework, exams, materials, class links, recordings and attendance.
• To show students and parents their progress, results, points and course ranking. In rankings other students see only a first name and an initial.
• To send reminders and updates to students and parents by app notification or WhatsApp.
• To manage subscriptions and support.

We do not sell personal information and do not show advertising in the app. Student account and learning information is never used for advertising.

Measuring our ads (Meta Pixel)

Our public website pages (for example the home, course, level-test and practice-test pages, but not the student portal) use the Meta Pixel, a tool from Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram), to measure how well our ads work. When you visit these pages your browser sends Meta the page visited and a few events: page views, clicks on a WhatsApp contact link, and finishing one of our free level tests. Meta also receives technical details such as your IP address, browser and its own cookies, and may connect this to a Facebook or Instagram account you are logged into. We do not send Meta your name, phone number, test answers or account information. Meta’s handling of this data is described in Meta’s Privacy Policy, and you can manage how Meta uses it for ads in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings, or block it with your browser’s tracking protection or an ad blocker.

Sharing

Information is visible only to the student, their linked parent and the academy team (the teacher and course supervisors). We use trusted service providers to run the platform — Cloudflare (hosting and storage) and Zoom (online classes) — who process data only to provide their service. On our public website pages Meta also receives the visit and ad-measurement events described above. Answers submitted for automatic IELTS Writing and Speaking feedback (including speaking recordings, which are transcribed) are processed by Cloudflare Workers AI to produce that feedback. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google’s servers, which can see your IP address. We share information only if the law requires it.

Security and storage

All data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and passwords are stored only as salted PBKDF2 hashes. Data is kept while the student is enrolled and for up to 12 months afterwards for academic records, unless deletion is requested earlier.

Children

Many of our students are under 18. Student accounts are created by the academy at the request of the student or their parent, and parents can follow their child’s progress and ask us to correct or delete their child’s information at any time.

Your choices and account deletion

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information. To delete your account and its data, use the account deletion page. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.

سياسة الخصوصية

السياسة دي بتوضّح المعلومات اللي موقع EduStars وتطبيق EduStars بيجمعوها، وليه، وإزاي بنحميها. EduStars هي منصة التعلّم الأونلاين بتاعة EduStars Academy، اللي بتقدّم كورسات SAT وIELTS واللغة الإنجليزية مع Mostafa Atalla.

المعلومات اللي بنجمعها

• بيانات الحساب: اسم الطالب واسم المستخدم وكلمة السر (كلمة السر بتتخزّن كـ hash بطريقة PBKDF2 مع salt، ومش بتتخزّن أبدًا بشكلها الأصلي). الحسابات بيعملها فريق الأكاديمية لما الطالب يشترك في كورس.
• رقم ولي الأمر: رقم واتساب ولي الأمر لو الطالب أو الفريق ضافه، عشان يوصله متابعة مستوى ابنه.
• نشاط التعلّم: إجابات ودرجات الواجبات، ونتايج الامتحانات والمسابقات، وقوايم الكلمات اللي اتعلّم عليها، والحضور، والنقاط والترتيب المحسوبين منهم.
• الحضور من Zoom: الاسم اللي بيظهر في الحصة ومدة الحضور، عشان نسجّل الحضور.
• بيانات الكورس والاشتراك: الكورس والحصص والمدفوعات، وبيسجّلها فريق الأكاديمية.
• إعدادات الجهاز: اللغة، ولو سمحت بالإشعارات، رمز الإشعارات عشان نفكّرك بالواجبات والحصص.

بنستخدمها في إيه

• تشغيل الكورسات: الواجبات والامتحانات والماتريال ولينكات الحصص والتسجيلات والحضور.
• عرض المستوى والنتايج والنقاط والترتيب للطالب وولي الأمر. في الترتيب، باقي الطلبة بيشوفوا الاسم الأول وأول حرف بس.
• إرسال التذكيرات والمتابعة للطالب وولي الأمر بإشعارات التطبيق أو واتساب.
• متابعة الاشتراكات والدعم.

إحنا مش بنبيع أي معلومات شخصية، ومفيش إعلانات في التطبيق، وبيانات حساب الطالب ونشاطه الدراسي عمرها ما بتُستخدم في الإعلانات.

قياس نتائج إعلاناتنا (Meta Pixel)

صفحات موقعنا العامة (زي الصفحة الرئيسية وصفحات الكورسات واختبارات تحديد المستوى والامتحانات التجريبية، ومش منصة الطلبة) بتستخدم Meta Pixel، وهي أداة من شركة Meta (فيسبوك وإنستجرام)، عشان نقيس نتائج إعلاناتنا. لما تزور الصفحات دي، المتصفح بيبعت لـ Meta الصفحة اللي زرتها وشوية أحداث: مشاهدة الصفحة، والضغط على لينك تواصل واتساب، وإنهاء اختبار من اختبارات تحديد المستوى المجانية. وMeta كمان بتستقبل بيانات تقنية زي عنوان الـ IP ونوع المتصفح والكوكيز بتاعتها، وممكن تربطها بحساب فيسبوك أو إنستجرام إنت فاتحه. إحنا مش بنبعت لـ Meta اسمك ولا رقم تليفونك ولا إجاباتك ولا بيانات حسابك. وطريقة تعامل Meta مع البيانات دي موضّحة في سياسة الخصوصية بتاعة Meta، وتقدر تتحكم في استخدامها للإعلانات من إعدادات الإعلانات في فيسبوك أو إنستجرام، أو تمنعها بخاصية منع التتبّع في المتصفح أو بإضافة لمنع الإعلانات.

مشاركة المعلومات

المعلومات بتظهر للطالب نفسه، وولي أمره المربوط بحسابه، وفريق الأكاديمية (المدرس ومشرفين الكورس) بس. وبنستخدم مقدّمي خدمة موثوقين لتشغيل المنصة: Cloudflare للاستضافة والتخزين، وZoom للحصص الأونلاين، وبيستخدموا البيانات لتقديم خدمتهم بس. وفي صفحات الموقع العامة، Meta بتستقبل كمان الزيارة وأحداث قياس الإعلانات اللي فوق. الإجابات اللي بتتبعت للتصحيح الآلي في IELTS Writing وSpeaking (ومنها تسجيلات الـ Speaking اللي بتتحوّل لنص) بتتعالج بـ Cloudflare Workers AI عشان يطلع التصحيح. وصفحاتنا بتحمّل الخطوط من Google Fonts، فالمتصفح بيتصل بسيرفرات Google وده بيخليها تشوف عنوان الـ IP بتاعك. ومش بنشارك أي معلومات إلا لو القانون طلب كده.

الأمان والحفظ

كل البيانات بتتبعت باتصال مشفّر (HTTPS)، وكلمات السر متخزّنة كـ hash بطريقة PBKDF2 بس. البيانات بتفضل محفوظة طول ما الطالب مشترك، ولمدة أقصاها 12 شهرًا بعد كده للسجلات الدراسية، إلا لو اتطلب حذفها قبل كده.

الطلبة تحت 18 سنة

كتير من طلبتنا تحت 18 سنة. حسابات الطلبة بتعملها الأكاديمية بطلب من الطالب أو ولي أمره، وولي الأمر يقدر يتابع مستوى ابنه ويطلب تعديل أو حذف بياناته في أي وقت.

اختياراتك وحذف الحساب

تقدر تطلب تشوف بياناتك أو تعدّلها أو تحذفها. لحذف حسابك وبياناته، استخدم صفحة حذف الحساب. وتقدر تقفل الإشعارات في أي وقت من إعدادات جهازك.
